Wisdom from the Rich Family Grands

Written by

Many of those that visit our website know that Dora and I are friends with Steve and Beverly Rich and their extended family. Steve is a fellow photographer whose work I greatly admire. Recently we were contacted by Steve and Beverly's daughters, Jennifer Steller and Lauren Batte, to photograph their children as a surprise for Steve and Beverly. Dora and I traveled to Aiken, SC the following Saturday to spend the afternoon with Jennifer and Lauren, and their children, Hayden, Millie, and Mason.

Those of you that know Steve know that he photographs the three grandchildren every chance he gets. I wasn't quite sure how this was going to go but all three of the grandchildren really got into it. Each one contributed their ideas as to what would make a good photo and their ideas are incorporated into the photographs. I picked up a lot of wisdom from the Rich family grands.

Forever Young

May the good Lord be with you down every road you roam.
And may sunshine and happiness surround you when you're far from home.
And my you grow to be proud, dignified and true.
And do unto others as you'd have done to you.
Be courageous and be brave.
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever young. (Forever young)
Forever young. (Forever young)
May good fortune be with you, may your guiding light be strong,
Build a stairway to heaven with a prince or a vagabond.
And may you never love in vain.
And in my heart you will remain
Forever young. (Forever young)
Forever young. (Forever young)
Forever young. Forever young
And when you fin'lly fly away, I'll be hoping that I served you well.
For all the wisdom of a lifetime, no one can ever tell.
But whatever road you choose, I'm right behind you win or lose,
Forever young. (Forever young)
Forever young. (Forever young)
Forever young. Forever young For forever young
