Say Cheese!

Say Cheese!

The Brownie Hawkeye Flash Model was made from 1950 to 1961. We spotted this camera sitting on a shelf in an antique store. It appeared to be in great condition and working order. We took it to the counter.

When the lady behind the counter saw the camera she introduced herself as Donna. Donna is the same age as Dora and I. Donna had memories to share with us of her mother, Betty. Betty had a Brownie Hawkeye. Donna described the memories she had of her mother, right down to her green eyes and the green skirt she wore and how she held her camera when taking pictures. One of the joys of what Dora and I do in all aspects of our photography is the people we meet and the stories we share.
